Stench from Siberia Migratory Swan Habitat
TEHRAN (IREN) – Rubbish enters Boojagh National Park (wetland) through inappropriate disposal coming from municipality and citizens activities of Kia-Shahr north of Iran while the area has been already placed in International Swamp Listing at the Ramsar Convention. According to Iren (Iran Non-Government Environment News Agency), the municipality has also conceded some parts of the wetland to settlement building companies. The park is the habitat of many migratory birds notably Siberia migratory swans.
